Sports-Related Concussions in the ED – Clinical Case
A 21-year-old semi-professional rugby player sustained a head injury during a game four hours ago.
He had no loss of consciousness, but was confused and disorientated for 20 minutes after impact. He now feels sick and dizzy and his girlfriend says he has been irritable since coming home. He was removed from the game immediately but has attended the ED as he still has symptoms.
