Which mnemonic is often used to help gain information about a patients pain in order to be able to treat them?
The patient has mild but visible asymmetry across the shoulders. There are no other obvious abnormalities on inspection.
The patient is tender over the shoulder, particularly anteriorly, and she is tender over the lower cervical spine on the right side. There is no obvious swelling and the joint is a normal temperature.
The patient strongly objects to any passive movements due to severe pain. She is able to move the shoulder actively, but there are limitations in all planes. Abduction seems to be particularly affected.
Gross neurovascular examination is unremarkable.
Observations are all normal.
