A 20-year-old female who has fallen off her horse is complaining of right sided chest pain.
Patent airway, GCS 15, pulse 95/min, BP 126/85, SaO2 98% on air, blood sugar 5.5.
During a secondary survey she was noticed to have tenderness over the spinous process of her 4th cervical vertebra as well as complaining of moderate pain over both sacroiliac joints. A trauma X-ray series was ordered. When the X-rays were reviewed an abnormal finding was noticed.
