Under Section 135 of the MHA, a Mental Health Professional can ask a judge to issue a warrant to enter an individual’s home to transfer them to a PoS.
the PoS can be a hospital or in some circumstances a police station; the police can move the patient from one place to another.
The definition of places which can be used as a PoS has been widened by recent changes in legislation but people detained under Section 135 or 136 will usually be brought into a hospital setting.
Other than permitting forced entry into private premises, subsequent events and responsibilities are the same as for Section 136.
