A 20-year old man presents with a wound to his neck which he states was caused by a knife 2 hours ago during a domestic dispute. On examination, the wound is deep and bleeding heavily. Sternomastoid and trapezius both function normally. He is having difficulty swallowing.

You ask to examine the inside of his mouth, and notice that his uvula is deviated to one side.
