Female Genital Mutilation – Clinical Case 1

You see a 24-year-old female from Mali in the Emergency Department presenting with urinary frequency. She has had multiple previous UTIs. She is otherwise fit and well and has one child. Her pregnancy test is negative, but her urine dipstick is consistent with a UTI so you decide to prescribe some antibiotics. You remember some teaching you had on FGM/C and wonder if you need to take any actions regarding this.
