A 6-year-old boy attends the Emergency Department (ED) with a two week history of pain in the foot, which had developed into a limp over the preceding 2 days. There was no recollected history of injury.
On clinical examination the patient was partially weight bearing, with diffuse tenderness to the midfoot. The patient was apyrexial and systemically well.
X-ray of the foot is shown.
