This module covers the assessment, treatment and management of patients presenting to the emergency department (ED) with anaphylaxis.
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Outline the optimal time to draw a mast cell tryptase level
- Indicate what drugs can be used in a case of adrenaline resistant anaphylaxis
- Indicate what treatments can be used for anaphylaxis caused by C1 esterase inhibitor deficiency
