A 73-year-old female is brought by ambulance. She lives alone and is found collapsed at home by her neighbours. The patient has not attended her GP appointments for more than 6 months, which means poor drug compliance.
Her past medical history includes hyperlipidaemia, hypothyroidism and hypertension.
Following are her prescribed medications:
- Amlodipine
- Atorvastatin
- Levothyroxine
On examination:
- Oxygen Saturation- 93% room Air
- Respiratory Rate- 13
- Blood Pressure- 89/56
- Heart Rate- 47
- Temperature- 34.1 C
- Glasgow Come Scale – Eye- 3, Verbal- 3, Motor- 5 = 11/15- Moving all extremities with no facial asymmetry.
- Glucose 6.5 mmol/L
- No Rash
