A 40-year-old male with B-cell lymphoma presents to the Emergency Department (ED) complaining of lethargy, dry mouth, and generalized weakness. He has no fever.
The patient received intravenous (IV) chemotherapy four days ago. He has no other past medical history and is otherwise fit and well.
Following your assessment, you suspect and initiate treatment for neutropenic sepsis.
Whilst waiting for blood results, the patient has a seizure in the department.
