This module covers the emergency management of bleeding in pregnancy. It includes the appropriate investigation and initial emergency interventions for bleeding in early pregnancy as well as antepartum haemorrhage (APH).
After completing this session you will be able to:
- Recognise the different causes of bleeding in pregnancy with respect to the gestation of the pregnancy
- Determine resuscitation and initial management of bleeding in pregnancy
- Recognise when to administer anti-d immunoglobulin and use it appropriately
