A 75-year-old male patient is brought in by an ambulance with 3 episodes of frank hematemesis, total volume around 500ml. He is pale and clammy. He is on Rivaroxaban and Bisoprolol for Atrial Fibrillation and last took his tablets 4 hours ago.
He has a medical history of hypertension and atrial fibrillation only.
His observations are as follows:
- Heart rate: 92/min
- Blood pressure: 90/50 mmHg
- Oxygen saturation: 95% RA
- Respiratory rate: 22/min
- Temperature: 36.4
