  • Gynaecological causes:
    • Ectopic pregnancy
    • Ruptured ovarian cyst
    • Endometriosis
    • Ovarian torsion
    • Mittelschmerz pain
  • Gastrointestinal causes:
    • Appendicitis   
      • Cervical excitation occurs in 25% women with appendicitis
    • Irritable bowel syndrome
    • Diverticular disease
