An 18-month-old boy is brought in to the Emergency Department (ED) by his grandmother with a cough, mild constitutional upset and increasing stridor for approximately 12 hours. He is previously well and immunised up to date.
On examination he appears tired. He has a coarse stridor and moderately increased work of breathing, and is brought to Resus for further assessment and management.
