A 32-year-old male is brought to the Emergency Department (ED) by ambulance. According to the paramedics, he was found unconscious on the floor by a friend, with empty packets of codeine and clobazam tablets and a bottle of oral morphine next to him.
Upon initial assessment his observations are:
- HR: 68 beats per minute
- BP: 110/66
- RR: 7 breaths per minute
- SpO2: 90% breathing air
- GCS E3 V4 M5
- Pupils 1mm reactive bilaterally
The nursing team has already initiated oxygen therapy, and intravenous (IV) access is established.
