Q:        What content is open access on RCEMLearning?

A: All content except for the Exams section and CPD Diary is open access. You dont need a password or login details to access the following content types: Reference (etextbook), FOAMed (podcasts, blogs & iBooks), Cases (MCQ or single best answer clinical cases), Research section (TERN, Academic Careers & Breaking Evidence, Critical Appraisal & Critical Appraisal Dictionary) and the Curriculum map.

Q: What do I need to access CPD diary and ‘Exams’ section ?

A: The CPD Diary and everything in the ‘Exams‘ section (Learning Sessions, SAQs, FRCEM Past Papers) is password-protected. You need to be a member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine to access it.

Q:        Whats the best way to find stuff?

A: Use the search function (look for the magnifying glass in the top right-hand corner) or work through the curriculum map. Every content item on RCEMLearning is mapped to the curriculum, which helps structure searches based on educational level and clinical interests.

Q:        How do I prove activity undertaken on RCEMLearning?

A: Content in the ‘Exams‘ section is automatically logged into the CPD Diary and a certificate link is added. (you must meet or exceed the pass mark on a learning session) Please note that you must be logged in as a RCEM member. For all other content, youll need to reflect on them by manually adding them to the CPD Diary.

Q:        How can I trust the content on RCEMLearning?

A: All content is produced and subsequently peer reviewed by members of the EM community. Content is reviewed by the relevant member of our editorial executive (Ed Exec) prior to publication, and it’s reviewed within appropriate windows by members of our Editorial Review Board (ERB) to ensure it remains educationally and clinically relevant.
