So no doubt now were approaching winter your ED will be under pressure and both your team and the hospital will be looking for strategies to reduce crowding and most importantly improve care. A recent publication in the EMJ looked not at targets for ED capacity but at hospital capacity and monitoring the associated effect on ED flow and most importantly patient care.

This podcast is an interview with the lead author Dan Boden, an EM Consultant at Derby on some of the main findings from the work.
