A 63-year-old male presents in the emergency department (ED) with a 6-day history of painful, red, watery left eye. He reports his vision is not blurry or reduced but has photophobia. He reports no issues with the right eye.
He saw his GP a couple of days ago and was given chloramphenicol eye drops, which have not helped.
The patient has no significant past ocular or medical history.
