Trampoline Ankle

You are asked to review a 3-year-old girl brought in crying inconsolably by her parents. They report she fell from a trampoline earlier in the day and has since been unable to weight-bear on her left leg.

After providing analgesia, you are able to examine her. The girl’s left ankle is very tender to palpation and visibly swollen compared to the right. You order x-rays of the ankle.
