This session covers the Advanced Life Support (ALS) algorithm (2021), which provides an evidence-based template for your clinical skills.

After completing this session you will be able to:

  • Identify and respond to adult patients with a shockable rhythm
  • Identify and respond to adult patients with a non- shockable rhythm
  • Identify and respond to reversible causes of cardiac arrest
  • Describe the role of the resuscitation team leader
